Photographing natural scenes has been a life long love. I've had many teachers and have made imaging my lifelong pursuit. Recently I was mentored by a painter in oils on composition, light and creativity. I strive to interpret and capture the essence and mood of a scene rather than the strict tonal "reality". However, since I often shoot into the sun, in deep shadow or in ultra high key scenes sometimes the final art is quitereal. I describe many of my compositions as natural details though I sometimes capture the wide angle traditional landscape shots as well. I print on a variety of media including metal, canvas and sometimes even matted paper. The Rocky Mountains, the high plains, the desert southwest and tropical islands are my favorite places to make images. My work can also be licensed for digital reproduction.
Most photographs are available for print or license. Some are limited editions prints. Currently, I have work hanging at these galleries/museums...
